Reflections While Biking

one rotation too many;

the gears lock,

and you freeze.

the front wheel hits the curb,

and you crash

by the trees.

the road bites into your hands,

then your elbows

and your knees.

you lie there, stunned,

then begin to laugh

as you wheeze.
